drawn with brush and ink by hand and
re-worked with Type Tool 3
This is my first typeface, designed in a matter of four weeks during a typography course. The goal of the project was to find an inspiration for the form our characters will take and I was inspired by watercolor as a medium. The typeface was also inspired by irregularities in handwriting, which is why it consists of characters with open and closed loops, some cursive, and others semi-straight. The texture of the hand drawn sketches was kept to some extent, keeping it as a reminder of the initial source of inspiration and delivering uniqueness to each character. The typeface has uppercase, lowercase and numeral figures, but also a multitude of glyphs and accents, making it usable for multiple latin languages.
